How to Change Trico 2016 Buick Encore Wiper Blades

Prepare your Buick Encore for an easier wiper change
Turn ON your wipers then turn off your Buick Encore when the wipers are at their mid-way point on your windshield

Lift your wipers up from the windshield
With your wipers stopped midway on your windshield it should be easy to lift your wipers up and away from your windshield.
Your old wipers should stick out, away, from your windshield. Now allowing for easy access during the rest of the changing process.

Before you remove old wiper blades
Be sure to take note of which new blade length goes on which side.
Measure or just compare old blade length to the new Trico® wiper blades.
Then place the new blades on the correct side. -
Remove old wiper blades
Your 2016 Buick Encore has a "Wide" 22mm Push Button attachment for the windshield wipers. Press the tab or button. Then slide it off the old wiper.
Different wiper manufacturers use different style attachments for the push button. -
Connect the new Trico® Tech Beam Blade wipers
You should have a "Wide" 22mm Push Button Attachment on your 2016 Buick Encore
With this arm type it is necessary to remove the preattached adaptor on the wiper blade and replace it as follows with adapter (BC)
1. Pinch the [PRESS] tabs at the back of the adapter. Then rotate it up to a 35 degree angle.
2. Lift the adapter until it disengages from the blade and discard it.
3. Find adaptor (C) and rotate it to a 35 degree angle.
4. Lower the adapter on to the pin until it CLICKS in place. The adapter must lock on to the blade before proceding.
5. Holding your thumb on the front end of the adapter.
Press the back end of the adapter into the open end of the wiper arm.
6. The button on the top of the wiper MUST lock in to the hole in the top of the arm.
7. Before use be sure the wiper blade is locked on to the wiper arm.
8. Be sure to remove the blade edge cover before use.

Check all connections...
Double check that wiper blades and adapters are locked on to the wiper arms.
Remove any wiper blade plastic covers.

Press the button and slide off the old wiper blade. -
Remove plastic protector
Before installation, of the new wiper blade, slide off the plastic protector from the blade rubber.

Connect the new Trico® Force Premium Beam Blade wipers
With this arm type it is necessary to remove the preattached adapter on the wiper blade and replace it as follows with adapter BC.
1. Identitfy release tab for the preattached adapter.
2. Identitfy the release tabs [PRESS] for the pre-attached adapter.
Pinch the tabs at the back of the adapter, then rotate it up to a 35 degree angle.
3. Lift the adapter until it disengages from the blade.
4. Push the pre-attached adaptor towards the button to disengage it from the blade.
Discard.
5. Find included adapter "B/C". Rotate it to a 35degree angle.
Lower the adapter to the pin until it clicks in place.
Adapter B/C must lock on the to blade before you move on to the next step
6. Hold your thumb on the front of the adapter. Slide adapter in the opposite direction from the tab until it locks in place.
7. The button on the adapter must lock into the hole on the top of the arm.
8. Before use make sure the wiper arm is locked in to place on the wiper arm.

Check all connections...
Double check that wiper blades and adapters are locked on to the wiper arms.

Lower wipers back down to their functional positions.
Carefully lower your new wipers down to your windshield. Discard old wipers and packaging material.
Congratulations! You just installed new Trico® Force Premium Beam Blade wipers on your 2016 Buick Encore!

Different wiper manufacturers use different style attachments for the Wide Push Button (22mm) arm. Look also for a button or a latch to lift and slide off the old wiper blade. -
Connect the new WiperBladesUSA Gold Beam Blade wipers
Lets confirm your wiper arm before we continue.
A penny will fit in a WIDE Push Button arm.
But apenny will NOT fit in a Wide Push Button arm.
Only continue if you have a WIDE PUSH BUTTON arm
If your wipers do NOT have the B2 adapter on:
- Your vehicle will require the B2 adapter on your wiper blade. Check your wiper for the B2 logo.
If this is not installed it is a simple process:
- Press the latch in with your thumb and lift off the old adapter.
- Place the back of the B2 adapter in the wiper
- Press the front down until it CLICKS in place
- Your vehicle will require the B2 adapter on your wiper blade. Check your wiper for the B2 logo.
- Remove the old wiper. Press the button with your thumb and Pull the wiper out of the arm.
- FIRMLY push the wiper (with B2 adapter attached) the way in to the Wide Push Button wiper.
- Here is how a properly installed Wide Push Button wiper should look. Check for the wiper button in the arm hole.

Be sure to REMOVE PLASTIC COVER FROM THE BLADES EDGE

Check all connections...
Tug on the wipers to double check that all wiper blades are locked on to the wiper arms.

Lower wipers back down to their functional positions.
Carefully lower your new wipers down to your windshield. Discard old wipers and packaging material.
