Turn ON your wipers then turn off your BMW 335i when the wipers are at their mid-way point on your windshield
Lift your wipers up from the windshield
With your wipers stopped midway on your windshield it should be easy to lift your wipers up and away from your windshield. Your old wipers should stick out, away, from your windshield. Now allowing for easy access during the rest of the changing process.
Before you remove old wiper blades
Be sure to take note of which new blade length goes on which side. Measure or just compare old blade length to the new wiper blades. Then place the new blades on the correct side.
Remove old wiper blades
Your 2014 BMW 335i has a Pinch Tab (I&L) style attachment for the windshield wipers to connect with. Different wiper manufacturers use different style attachments for the Pinch Tab (I&L) style attach type. With the arm lifted arm away from windshield: pinch the tabs and lift off wiper.
Connect the new Rain-X Longitude beam wipers
To install your new Rain-X Longitude wiper blade on a Pinch Tab (I&L) arm:
To continue you must remove the adapter:
Lift front end of adapter to remove:
In the package locate the adapter "A" and the connector "M": Note: Align the arrows in the SAME direction:
Place the "A" adapter on TOP of the "M" connector and press down:
Press until they "Click" in to place:
Next, Align the assembeled "A" adapter so that the arrow on the top is pointing in the SAME direction as the arrow on the base wiper:
Insert the front of the "A" adapter in to the slot in the base:
Press firmly until it "Clicks" and locks in place:
The wiper is ready to install. Insert the tab on the wiper into the slot on the wiper. Then rotate the blade down.:
Rotate all the way down. Then squeeze until it Locks in to place with a "Click":
REMEMBER: Remove the blade edge cover:
Do the same procedure for the other wiper blade.
Check all connections...
Tug on the wipers to double check that all wiper blades are locked on to the wiper arms.
Lower wipers back down to their functional positions.
Carefully lower your new wipers down to your windshield. Discard old wipers and packaging material.
Congratulations! You just installed new Rain-X Longitude Beam Blade wipers on your 2014 BMW 335i!
